What Is A Home Warranty?
A home warranty is a service contract that covers the repair or replacement of many of the most frequently occurring breakdowns of home system components and appliances.
Your home is often your biggest investment and maintaining it can also be your biggest expense, especially when sudden repairs are needed. Furthermore, if you're stuck without water, heat or electricity in the middle of the night or on a holiday, it can be hard to find a reliable and affordable repairman. A Home warranty contract from Anchor Home Protection is designed to resolve these issues and provide you with an inexpensive solution to otherwise expensive repairs with qualified service providers who respond quickly.

Most leading home insurance contracts as standard don't cover home emergencies. Some cover the damage caused by it. Homeowner insurance protects your home and items within from catastrophic disasters and acts of God such as earthquakes, hurricanes, fires, freezing, floods, lightning, soil erosion, riots, theft, hail and others. It is advisable that you check with your current home insurance provider to make sure you're not taking unnecessary coverage.
Similarly, all appliances come with a warranty but they can run out after as little as a year. It is wise to protect your items, not just for the first twelve months, but for their whole lifetime. While you’re covered, your warranty will pay for any repairs that need to be carried out, including labor and parts costs. As a customer you will have access to our 24 hour helpline to arrange a repair with a local licensed and insured contractor who can arrange to meet with you at a mutually convenient time.

Homeowner’s insurance does NOT protect your systems and appliances from breakdowns. Manufacturers’ warranties protect you only during the first year when breakdowns are unlikely. In addition, to protect all your home systems and appliances individually would be extremely expensive and confusing since you would have to deal with several companies at the same time. That’s why a Home Warranty is the perfect pairing to a Homeowner’s policy. AHP’s Home Warranty can conveniently help protect your wallet from the costly repair of covered system and appliance breakdowns.

AHP provides coverage for your residential dwelling and does not require the dwelling to be owner-occupied. Residential dwellings include single-family homes, new construction, condominiums, townhouses, mobile homes and multiunit dwellings.
The covered items must be domestic grade and in good working order at time of purchase. Commercial grade items are only covered if specified by the manufacturer for use in a residential application. While a Home Warranty cannot prevent systems or appliances from breaking, the coverage is designed to cover the most frequently occurring breakdowns from normal wear and tear which can cost homeowners thousands of dollars each year.
